Unincarcerated Productions, founded and predominantly led by justice-impacted creators, is launching Inside/Out Media Labs, a statewide initiative bringing professional media workforce development, digital storytelling training, and prison tablet-based educational content to prisons across the country with a primary emphasis initially on Washington State.

The program equips incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people with real media industry skills, delivers trauma-informed personal development curriculum, and builds bridges between mostly rural prison communities and the incarcerated population. This initiative is all about driving equitable workforce opportunity, uplifting communities impacted by incarceration, and fostering economic and cultural vitality in rural towns where prisons are major employers.
